UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Impact Berry is committed to positively impact the communities we work with, the societies we interact with and the environment that we all live in! We appreciate and acknowledge the UN Sustainable Development Goals to being crucial to change the world and to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by the year 2030.

Being Hong Kong's first CSV driven (Creating Shared Value) coffee brand, we have build our supply chain and operations with the UN Sustainable Development Goals in mind.

Primary Impact Berry SDG's.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

We acknowledge the fact that CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION is a prerequisite for hygienic conditions and with this an important aspect for health and quality of life. Especially for people in areas of natural disaster such as the earthquake struck regions in Indonesia, clean water is of utmost importance as we have experienced ourselves. Impact Berry therefore puts a focus on clean water by funding water filter systems in those very areas through our NGO partner Pituq.

Linking strongly to goal 13, climate action, Impact Berry promotes and advocates for RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION and mindful resource use. This also includes responsibility at the source of production and at all stages. Impact Berry coffee hence comes from small, organic permaculture farms that value the ecosystems and diversity of nature.

The planet we live on is the only one we have. Protecting its ecosystems and the environment is crucial not only to maintain our but also all other being's habitat. Impact Berry is committed to CLIMATE ACTION to protect the climate by sourcing regional products for regional markets only. Through shipping by sea and over short distances, we manage to reduce the transport carbon footprint of 1 kg coffee by up to 12 kg CO2 compared to other specialty coffee. Compared to commercial coffee this is even more.

Secondary Impact Berry SDG's.

Impact Berry is committed to pay fair prices and wages to contribute to NO POVERTY. This includes paying a better-than-fairtrade price to the farms and coffee producers we work with.

One of the NGOs we work with, Baraka Nusantara, is committed to increase educational conditions in rural Indonesia to support QUALITY EDUCATION. Impact Berry has partnered with Baraka Nusantara to jointly initiate education projects in villages on Lombok, Indonesia.

Impact Berry is committed to pay fair prices and wages, supporting DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH. This includes paying a better-than-fairtrade price to the farms and coffee producers we work with.

We believe that diversity of all kind is good and inspires creativity, growth and tolerance. Impact Berry hence values, promotes and supports diversity and has made it a table stake to work hard to REDUCE INEQUALITIES that arise through of all kinds of diversity and difference.
